Newark Golf Club Simulators golf simulator in Newark

Just east of Newark at Coddington, Newark Golf Club has added two indoor TrackMan simulators alongside its 18-hole course, giving golfers in this corner of Nottinghamshire a warm, dry place to play when the weather turns. The best news is that you do not need to be a member: anyone can book a session online.

TrackMan is one of the most respected names in golf technology, and its simulators measure every shot in detail while letting you play virtual rounds on famous courses. The club points out that an hour is plenty of time for a solo golfer to get round 18 holes, which makes a lunchtime or after-work round very doable.

Prices are straightforward and fair. A solo session is £25 an hour, and if you come as a group it is £10 per person per hour, so a four-ball shares a bay for an evening without breaking the bank. Because you are in a proper golf club, the bar is close by, and the club says you are welcome to enjoy bar food and drinks while you play. That gives a simulator session a nice clubhouse feel, rather than simply hitting balls in a room.

The club also has an outdoor driving range with grass tees and Trackman tracking, which is handy if you want to mix indoor and outdoor practice, though the simulators are the indoor offer described here.

A few details are not published, such as the simulator opening hours, how many players can share a bay, and whether hire clubs are available, so it is worth a quick call to the golf shop on 01636 626282 or an email before your first visit. For a relaxed round in good company, with a drink to hand and no membership needed, this is a welcome addition to the Newark area.
