Tucked away at Stoughton Grange on the edge of Oadby, Nineteen Golf Club has turned a former farm shop into something rather special: a proper clubhouse for indoor golf. There are four simulator bays, all running on TrackMan, the same radar-and-camera system many tour players and coaches rely on. It reads the club and the ball in fine detail, from club path and attack angle to spin and launch, so whether you are grooving your swing or simply chasing a good score, you get honest numbers back after every shot.
What makes Nineteen stand out is that the golf sits alongside a genuine bar and lounge. You can eat, have a drink, watch the big match on screen, or even bring the laptop and use the co-working space during the day. It feels designed for people who want to linger, not just hit balls and leave.
There is plenty to play. The system offers more than 500 courses, including St Andrews and Valderrama, plus games like closest to the pin and longest drive that are ideal when not everyone in the group is a seasoned golfer. Family and social packages are on offer too.
For keener players, the Winter League is a real draw. It runs over nine rounds through to spring, with each round played on a different course from around the world and a three-week window to post your card. Players are split into two divisions by handicap, there is bar credit for each round winner, and entry for the whole league is £30.
PGA-qualified coaches offer one-to-one lessons using TrackMan data, and memberships range from a £10 social tier with discounted bay hire up to unlimited play at £120 a month. Opening hours run into the evening most days, with an early 8am start on Sundays.
